1½ cups flour
1½ cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
5/8 tsp. Baking soda
¼ tsp. Salt
1 cup butter melted
Combine all ingredients together. Set aside half for topping. Press other half in bottom for crust of 9x13. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Let cool. Sprinkle 1 cup of chocolate chips over cooled crust. In separate bowl, blend ¾ cup caramel topping with 5 TBSP. Flour. Pour blended caramel over chocolate chips. Sprinkle with remaining “topping.” Bake another 15 to 20 minutes. The Caramelitas need to cool to set up, and taste even better when allowed to cool for several hours or overnight.
